In my novella, Beyond the Moon and the Heartache Too, Sidnei Jewell is a strong, resilient woman who takes no prisoners. When she discovers her aging parents are in trouble, Sidnei must try to salvage them. The stakes are high, but Sidnei answers the call with courage, albeit with a little soul searching. As many of my readers have pointed out, Sidnei answers the call with unconditional love, that is, love without any conditions. It is a circumstance many of us will have to face. Sidnei can be a model for us all.
