Beyond the Moon and the Heartache Too has been named a 2019 Book Excellence Award Finalist! Yes, I am indeed smiling!! It is a story about life, growing up in the fifties and sixties, creating a solid life out of chaos, and surviving out of sheer pluck and determined resilience. It is also a story of what were assumed to be functional parents entering the aging process destitute both financially and physically, and pretty much alone and frightened by what long-hidden secrets could reveal. It is the story of a woman who reenters her parents' lives and ultimately must reassess the truths before her. It is a story all too often many keep tucked away, for surely it can't be true. Or can it?
