My main characters, Penney Divan (Ill Will, Beauty Full, Winning Wishes) and Sidnei Jewell (Beyond the Moon and the Heartache Too), are composites of real people I have come across while living my life. They each face off adversity with resilience, persistence, tenacity, pluck, and hope. Sure they falter like we all do, but they continue to show up and strive to be the best that they can be. My other characters are based upon real people too, and for good or for bad, they also exist wherever I travel. Think about how you would deal with some of these characters, and how you would turn things around for you and for those you care about. Like Penney and Sidnei, remember always to be true to your heart.
